Words you will
"never" hear from a PAT’S Dance Studio student,
“Mom, do I HAVE to go to dance class?”
When you step into PAT‘S, you are greeted with a warm energy. Students who come from near and far are PAT’S extended-family. Little boys and girls dash inside bubbling with excitement, while older students often stick around even when classes are over.
Our instructors teach hundreds of girls and boys Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Turns and Techniques, Pointe, Modern, & Hip-Hop. Technique is important, and we make sure all students reach a certain level of dance each year (even the youngest). We are also proud of the large population of boys our school houses. They have their own number in the show and it’s always a big hit.
You won’t find our students in any dance competitions. We are certainly good enough, but do not feel the need to push kids into such a pressurized situation, which is also financially draining. We perform fund-raisers at local schools and do performances for community and charity organizations. We feel it’s great to give the students a chance to perform while giving back to the community. By using their art to help others they will grow into wonderful, caring adults.
Spurred by the contagious and always positive spirit of the entire staff, students aspire to lofty goals, both in dance and beyond.
PAT’S is about dance, but also about self-esteem. We want to train the body, feed the soul, build confidence and make fond lasting memories. Maybe that’s why so many of our students stay with us until they finish high school and go on to pursue dance in college.
If you want a happy, homespun atmosphere that nurtures the basics of good dancing, then this is the place for you!
